Newsletter August 2019
We hope that you are all surviving the winter and that your children are busy and happy playing with toys from the library.
Just a reminder, with it being the cold season, please ensure that you wipe clean your toys before returning them to the library to help stop the spread of germs. We really appreciate you taking the time to do this.
Thank you to all members who helped us to sell the Bento Ninja Stainless Steel Pegs. We made a huge $1000. This money will go towards library costs and new toys.
We have also won some grants for operating costs such as rent, insurance, mobile phone, Eftpos and Annabel’s wages. Thank you so much the Lotteries Board, COGS, Christchurch City Council and the Rata Foundation. These grants are essential to keeping our library open.
We have also won a $1000 grant from Air Rescue and Community Services to upgrade our bikes. We will be purchasing these soon.
We have another fundraiser starting shortly so please keep an eye out for the email. We will be selling Naked Baker Pies. These pies are super handy to have on hand in the freezer and taste great.
We are still looking for new members to join our library, so please, don’t forget to talk about our library to other families. Word of mouth is the most common way we get new members to join.
A big thanks to all members who have already signed up for the next roster cycle. Don’t forget to log into Mibase and assign yourself to the latest roster if you haven’t done so already.
If you haven’t done so already, then please like us on Facebook. We post photos of new toys and announcements and it is a great way to communicate with our members and for our members to know what is going on at our toy library.
Thank you all so much for supporting our toy library.
