Dear Members

Welcome back to the Waimairi Toy Library. We hope that you all had a wonderful summer break with your families. We would like to thank you all for your patience over our reopening with the delays we have encountered. We are now in our new premises ready to open this Saturday 16 February. It has been a busy summer for our committee moving out of the classroom we were in and into a storage room then into our hall space. We would like to thank Burnside Primary School for accommodating us in this space. They have a very full school roll and needed all available classroom spaces for teaching.

You can now find our Toy Library in the Burnside Primary School hall. The hall stage has been made into a lockable room for us. This a a small space so our smaller toys and issuing desk are in there, with the outdoor and bigger toys including dolls houses, kitchens etc in a shipping container out the back of the hall. Our returns desk will be in the hall. Unfortunately we were not able to put our large returns desk in the hall as other community groups also use this space so we will set up some tables at the start of each session for this. As this is a new system for us it may take some time to get used to so we ask for patience.

Access to the hall stage room is via a small staircase on either side of the stage. Because this is a narrow staircase we are making them one way. So entry will be on the side you enter the hall and the exit on the far side of the hall.

Access to the school hall is via the main school car park. It is a large car park and our library is in full view from  the carpark which is a bonus for us. We look forward to seeing you all again over the next few weeks.

New Committee Members (PLEASE!!)
Are you able to come on board and help on our wonderful committee? Without a committee our toy library cannot function. Please consider joining. If you are interested please see Annabel in the library or email the library for more information.

Our AGM is on Monday 4 March at 7pm.
All are welcome to attend. If you are interested in coming along to the AGM please contact us as it will be held at a committee members house (we are no longer able to have our meetings at the school as the hall is booked by another community group on a Monday evening).

New Roster System
After trialling the self rostering system last year we are now deciding to give it a go via our Mibase page. It seemed to us that most members preferred to choose when they wanted to be on duty. Mibase is the software we use to run the library. Please keep an eye on your email, as soon, Annabel will send you all your personal login and information on how to add yourself to the roster. Every member is expected to roster themselves on each roster period. People who do not self roster will be allocated a date to be on duty.

We look forward to seeing you all at the library.
